This Privacy Policy describes how Charmo AI ("App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects your personal information when you use our iOS mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Services"). This policy has been written in compliance with Apple App Store Review Guidelines (Section 5.1 – Privacy), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and all applicable international data protection laws.

        🔞 Age Rating (Apple Guideline 1.2 & 1.3): Charmo AI is rated 17+ on the App Store. Due to the generative nature of AI conversations, we do not allow users under the age of 17 to use the service.
    

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate the App effectively ("Data Minimization Principle"). The information we collect falls into the following categories:

2. How We Use Your Information

Provide Core Services: Authenticate your account, enable AI-powered conversations, and manage your subscription status.
Generate AI Responses: Your chat messages are temporarily transmitted to our AI backend servers to generate contextual responses. We do not share your personal data with third-party AI companies like OpenAI or Google. All processing occurs on our own secure infrastructure.
Safety (Moderation): We use automated systems to filter and moderate User-Generated Content (UGC) to ensure compliance with our safety standards and Apple Guideline 1.2.

        🤖 AI Transparency & Persona Disclosure (Guideline 5.1.2(i)):

        All characters within Charmo are artificial intelligence (AI) personas. They are NOT real persons. Responses are generated by large language models and should be considered fictional. Users must not rely on the AI's responses for medical, legal, or financial advice.

3. UGC Moderation & Safety (Guideline 1.2)

To ensure a safe environment, Charmo implements the following safety features for User-Generated Content (UGC):

Report Mechanism: Users can report any inappropriate AI response or user-created character directly within the app.
Block Mechanism: Users have the ability to block specific AI personas or user-created characters to prevent further interaction.
Content Filtering: We use AI-based screening to block objectionable content before it is displayed.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account and conversation data until you request deletion. You can delete your account permanently via Settings > Delete Account within the app or by emailing info@idakimi.com. Upon request, all personally identifiable information, including your email and chat history, will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

Charmo is not intended for individuals under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children or minors. If we discover an account has been created by a user under 17, we will immediately terminate the account and delete all associated data.

7. Data Security

All data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS 1.2+. Server access is strictly controlled and audited regularly. While we use best practices to protect your data, no internet-based service can guarantee 100% security.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Your continued use of the app after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. The latest version will always be available on this page.
